Mr.S.B. Sasi Kumar MA. BEd (English) took over the reins of TVIS on 19th June 2008. Prior to his headship at TVIS he had a commendable stint of 28 years at Sainik School Kazhakootam, Trivandrum, Kerala.During his long tenure of 3 decades he played vital roles in various capacities and proved himself to be a dynamic , sincere , resourceful and dedicated teacher. His meticulous ways of teaching and pragmatic approach made him a respectable teacher. Under his able guidance and support as HOD of English at Sainik School ,Kazhakootam, the school reaped enviable results in English in all classes.
The Central Institute of English and Foreign languages , Hyderabad singled out him on the basis of his excellent performance in the In-Service Training Programme conducted for teachers of English and recommended him as a Resource Person. Another important appointment he held was as the NCC Officer for sixteen years. He received the Director General’s ‘Baton Of Honour’ (Gold Medal) for being the first in the merit at the Pre-Commission training for NCC Officers from all over India. |
