The Village International School is definitely moving ahead from being a “Good School” to becoming a “Great School”. To achieve this goal we have a lot of policies put in place. One of them is turn TVIS into a “Happy School” This is the reason why I a professional student counsellor has been appointed as the Vice Principal for student welfare at TVIS.

Let me introduce myself as a qualified and registered RCI Psychologist (RCI: A 67202) and a student counsellor. I hold a Ph.D, and MA, in Psychology coupled with a Diploma in Naturopathy and a Certificate Course in Management and Training for Learning Disabled conducted by Indian National Portage Association, India affiliated to its counterpart in USA. I am also a licensed authority for the Administration and Interpretation of Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism and is a certified career planner and trainer of Career Planners of ‘i Dream Career’, Delhi.

We will soon be opening our doors to embrace inclusive education at TVIS. We believe in being a true ‘Village’ where there are all sorts of citizens and soon we hope to cater for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder & PDD, Learning Disabilities, Williams Syndrome, ADHD / ADD, Slow learners, Partial hearing impairment, Partial vision impairment, General anxiety disorder – School Refusal, Chronic medical conditions, Chronic neurological conditions and Physically challenged along with our normal students where all learn to co-exist happily by helping each other.

We are now well equipped with both psychometric and psycho educational tools for accurate diagnosis and assessment of students who might need special care. We will be in a position to do all sorts of CBSE documentations that needs to be done for Students with Special Education Needs (SEN). Every SEN Child at TVIS will have an Individualized education plan to cater to his specific special needs. Today TVIS is in a position to render special remedial sessions for SEN children by specially trained teachers. We are also looking into the possibility of shadow mother and scribe arrangements for the SEN students, as per CBSE norms.

From now onwards TVIS will be a hub in conducting formal aptitude testing, individual and family counselling sessions to all our valued parents and students. We will also provide exposure and guide our students to choose the best colleges in India and Abroad. We will also start early admission process for our students to highly reputed universities around the world.
